Committee Introduction

The United Nations High-Level Political Forum (UN HLPF) is the main platform for reviewing progress on the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It brings together world leaders, experts, and changemakers—like you—to find bold, inclusive, and science-based solutions to the biggest challenges facing our planet. The 2025 HLPF theme focuses on advancing sustainable and evidence-based actions that truly leave no one behind. That means listening to communities, using real data, and working across borders to tackle issues like poverty, climate change, inequality, and access to quality education and healthcare. Young people have a powerful voice in this process. Your ideas, creativity, and action are essential for building a more fair, resilient, and inclusive future. At HLPF, countries share their progress through Voluntary National Reviews (VNRs), and everyone—governments, youth, civil society, and scientists—has a seat at the table. This is your chance to help shape global policies and make sure sustainable development becomes a reality for all.
