Committee Description
The Suez Crisis of 1956 was one of the important events that changed the Middle East and had important inter-political consequences for many countries which increased the tension in the area for the future. The British and French co-owned company that had controlled the canal for many years had made the canal a topic of dispute between them and Egpyt. Eventually, the rising president of Egypt, Gamal Abdel Nasser would have an objection to this. The events that followed changed the world as we know it.
Will the fate of the Suez Canal stay the same or will the course of history change once and for all? Will your decisions set the tone for the future of the Middle East and the political balance of the world?
